Right or Wrong..?
I've had this friend who parked his vehicle temporarily at a handicap lot while making a delivery in a condo. He was not only surprised to see his vehicle wheel-clamped after returning 15mins later but was also slapped with a $250 release fee. He took out the tools and began to remove the clamp; On seeing this, the condo security guard demanded for the release fine but was later refused and went on to report this to the police.
On arrival, the security explained the situation to the police. The delivery guy(my friend) clarified the matter by showing the policeman the warning sign which says;
WARNING!
WHEEL-CLAMP AREA.
Unauthorised vehicle will be wheel-clamped.
Release Fee $250
Please call 6xxxxxxx for assistance.
I've had my own tools and i don't need any assistance and he proceeded with the removal. The policeman had no ground to convict or fine him, was convinced and left. I was impressed by his
boldness. What do you guys think..?
