When will he comes back..?

I have this colleague who shares a task/job which the both of us are engaged to do for our squadron and since I came back October last year... the no. of days he showed up @work per mth is certainly less than the total no. of weekends there are in a month. Not that he has lotsa meetings, courses to attend but rather mostly were in MCs, urgent leave etc.

Now that because of this issue, squadron is sending me for a course which he has attended in relation to the job that I'm doing. This year hardy reach a third & he has certainly exceeded
the no. of days entitlement on medical leave(MCs). I salute you, my friend!

Hmm.. Getting a new motorbike?

I've always planned to get a new bike after returning back from States but something show/tell me otherwise. The extent reaches a point where i was about to commit to one that i fancy but something resisted me from doing so which i can hardly explain.

What's interesting was that few friends(guys and gals) approached me for advice and procedure in learning to ride; i rejected them w/o further a-do, stating the potential dangers behind all and frens that i've lost or severely injured in bike tragedies. I felt God's disapproval at few occasions. You can also never imagine that; out of every 10 newpaper i bought; 7-8/10 papers would have news of fatal bike accidents. But truthfully speaking; none of such news would appeal to me not to ride if i do insist in getting one. In fact my whole body "itches" at the thought of riding and even as i'm typing out this post. But i guessed God has not only blessed me with a car but providing for its daily, yearly maintenance expenses. So I guess, unless i backslide or God changed His mind, i'll never get to own a bike.

Taxi's new modification.

The taxi meter rate.

Today was the first time i took cab to get to my mechanic workshop in Defu Lane. Not only did i not know abt the 10c increment, but what's more alarming was the rate at which it goes. It jumped by $1.40 for somewhat a distance which i can walk and reach in abt 3mins. I just merely looked out of the window before glancing back at the meter, and it jumped another $0.80.

I reached the workshop and paid the cabby $8.20 for a distance that takes me 20mins to reach. I just take it as buying the experience for that price. Hmm... Who might have guess or know when are they reviewing the taxi fares. The flagdown and meter fares might just be increased to >$3 and >$0.30 respectively with increments in various components i.e airport, peak charges etc. If that is the case then i guess companies like ComfortDelGro, SMRT will receive tons of complains, having uninvited guests visiting them frequently or cab services boycotted.

Dear commuters,
If i'm the CEO of either cab companies, i'd certainly review and lower the cab fares to ease the trouble/pain of commuters... But too bad, 'cos simply i'm not the CEO and the day will not come to see me in becoming one.
