3 months..

Many things happened within this short span of 3mths after my return back from States. My flying status, loss of my wallet, well-being of both friends and relatives etc. Few would have knew that my paternal granny passed away earlier this mth due cancer. Another piece of disheartening news came just few days before she passed away that one of my uncles was also suffering from cancer and was left with <1week from today. I overheard from my colleagues' casual conversation that one of our colleague's granny died from a heart attack just few days after going for a full body checkup which was declared healthy by the doctor. I was browsing through today's papers, was led to this article which shows the rising number of fatal bike accidents and statistics revealed that 2-3 motorists or pillion riders were killed every week.

Things/conflicts that has been circulating among friends, unresolved relationships issues, disunity etc. I can't help but to feel that we need to guard our hearts from the works of the enemies.

Demise of my granny.

Most of my uncles, aunties and cousins stayed up for the last night before the body was sent for cremation the next day. We had a short farewell service before setting off to Mandai Crematorium. Everything seem fading as the journey continues to drizzle. Tears began to pour, we stood helpless as the coffin was carried out from the casket van into the crematorial hall. We paid our last respect before proceeding to the viewing hall. All stood in anxious wait as we saw the coffin rolled in. I could see the sun shining brightly from above as the doors closed after a day's drizzle. Truly the darkness is defeated by our praise.
