Scarborough Medieval Fest..

For those who have heard abt the North Texas Flood this morning. Although it does not affect where i'm staying but i'd have been there if not for me waking up late. This flood was reported to be one of the worst in 17yrs, damaging many homes and claiming several lives. Rescue is in progress!

I've visited Scarborough Medieval Fest. It was an old historical village with ppl dressing up in fairytale costumes. I've uploaded some photos in my flickr so feel free to browse.

I'm coming back soon for leave.

I don't enjoying working here but i'm still giving 101% at work; Monday (10%), Tuesday (20%), Wed (25%), Thurs, (35%), Friday (11%). There're thousand and one things i don't understand;
* how can ppl lie to their wives because of friends eg. lied to their wives they're working to go play majong with friends.
* keeping their wives in the dark from them smoking.
* bring their wife cheong and jio they're wife drink liquor.
* go cheong and came back drunk; esp those already with kids or worse still with wives pregnant.

But on a happy note, my home leave is finally approved. My clerk is booking my flight so i'll be coming back either end of this mth or early next mth. I'll only be back for 2 wks and leaving for an exercise in Aug. With all the nonsense here, i really can't wait to get back. Just wana share this true story with you guys..

A colleague of mine went to sent off his wife and son to the airport back to S'pore. Everything went off smooth til both boarded the flight. While taxiing, the kid realises that his father wasn't and will not be with him in the flight. He cried and made such a big fuss during the taxy phase that the stewardess had no choice but to advise the pilot to taxy back to the terminal to drop off both the wife and the kid. My colleague was standing right where the son ran into after coming out from the departure gate. I know this sounded very drama but hoped this story will speak to certain individual.

How's Daryl..?

This is Chicago skyline.

Its been quite sometime since i last posted. I'm afraid that i won't make it back for Jachin's wedding due to an exercise in Arizona but i'll still be back though.. either late July or late August. I guess you guys must be holidaying other than those working.
I'll be very free for the next 2 wks due the whole detachment leaving for South Dakota on an exercise this Fri.
What do i do here during my free time? Going on tour, shopping etc.. really miss home dishes right now. If only few could join me here. Hoping to be back as early as end of June. Til then take care!
